Mission Stone Mantel Test Results

All Mission Stone products have been tested by Southwest Research Institutes Department of Fire Technology, located in San Antonio, Texas. Mission Stone products received an A classification, the best rating possible. The tests have been conducted in accordance with the procedure outlined in ASTM E 84-05, “Standard Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials” (NFPA, ANSI/UL 723 and UBC 8-1).

The purpose of this test is to determine the relative burning behavior of the material. This standard is used to measure and describe the response of materials, to heat and flame under controlled conditions.
